Rel_E-vant Saturday Nights

What’s  “Rel_E-vant”  Saturday Nights?

Its up to you… there is a group of young (yes Janae, they could be my children) people who are creating a service/event for Saturday evenings to fill the “soul cravings” of their friends and peers.   This “Rel_E-vant” service will be much more contemporary than the traditional Sunday services here at Bear Creek Community Church.

If you are in college, your 20′s or early 30′s this might be a unique way to express your love of the Lord.  Most importantly, the Rel_E-vant service is designed to let you invite your friends and have them leave going “that was off the hook!”

  1. Great first Blog!!

  2. I love the idea. Okay I love the idea of a Saturday night service.
But do you think putting an age on it may be limiting ?
I love progressive and younger feeling without putting it in an age box. To maintain and grow a faith based community we still need individuals that are mentors, which requires them to be more experienced and wiser than ourselves. This often comes with age.

  3. Age Free Worshiper,
While I agree 100% with you comments regarding putting age in a box, the age target is just that… a target. The Rel_E-vant service knows who the target audience is! Hopefully, the local clubs will be losing some of their patrons for a soul fulfilling event on Saturday Nights.

  4. I would love to know who these “young” people are that are helping you put this service together. While I am definitely not “young” anymore, I am working directly with the people you are targeting with this service. So, let’s talk. I would love to hear your ideas.

  5. I would love to see a contemporary service on Saturday nights at BCCC! Meanwhile, we welcome any “young” (18 to 60+) people who are looking for a relevant/real/transparent experience to come out to The Tent on Tuesday nights at 7pm. We have a live, contemporary band, “Divine Collision”, and personal stories of those who are in recovery from their own hurts (broken relationships, losses, life struggles) and/or addictions. We have several small support groups at 8 pm and Heart Rock Cafe at 9 pm. (Childcare povided)
